OUR PROGRAMS
PARINAAMA’S INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY BOARD
At Parinaama our overarching goal is to help communities overcome the barriers to social and economic well-being. Our philosophy is that the communities can step out of poverty, only if they are engaged in long-term initiatives that improve their health, education and skills altogether. Parinaama seeks to maximize the impact through a three-pronged strategy: engaging, enabling, and empowering rural communities through holistic programs.
We provide and create a supporting environment for poverty reduction through 3 major pillars:
LIVELIHOODS
Everyone deserves an opportunity to engage in paid work in formal and informal sectors through added skills and knowledge. We emphasize on projects that create employment opportunities, providing training and skill development to enhance employability and productivity.
HEALTH
We work on projects that are instrumental in promoting a healthier rural population, reducing the incidence of diseases and thereby health burdens. We are building an ecosystem that enhances the capacity of local healthcare structures and ensures continued health education, helping the community make informed health decisions.
EDUCATION
We work in foundational literacy, digital literacy and leadership projects that are vital for fostering educational, economic and social development. We aim to close the learning gaps in the system and foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills, so marginalised communities are equipped to advocate for their rights.
WHERE WE WORK
OUR APPROACH
We work in culturally and geographically isolated villages that are densely populated and coupled with a lack of livelihood opportunities. Women and children in these areas suffer from a high prevalence of treatable and preventable diseases, and nutrition is generally poor.
We work pan India with a special focus on the eastern states of India, namely Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar.
